Motorcycle crash forces section of S. Broadway closed in south St. Louis

St. Louis, Mo. (KMOV) – Police have identified the man who was killed when his motorcycle struck a median at Broadway and Utah in south St. Louis early Saturday morning.

Police said Kevin Bacon, 39, from Waterloo, Ill., was traveling southbound in the 3200 block of South Broadway at a high rate of speed when he lost control of his motorcycle and hit a median at 3:30 a.m.

According to police, Bacon was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.  

The investigation is still ongoing.
