(KMOV.com) – A repairman with Missouri-American Water was taken to an area hospital Friday morning after officials say he was struck by a vehicle in west St. Louis.
According to Ann Dettmer with Missouri-American Water, two of their employees were at the intersection of Manchester Avenue and Brentwood Boulevard when the accident happened around 12:30 a.m.
The workers were shutting off a valve near the intersection.
Emergency crews responded and took the worker to an area hospital for treatment of non life-threatening injuries. The second repairman was not injured.
A minivan with a shattered windshield was at the scene, but officials did not confirm whether the van was the vehicle that struck the worker.
