ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) -- MetroLink riders are facing a change in the new year. Starting January 7th there will be a new system in place for ticketing.
Passengers will have to stick the ticket into the validation machine where it will be stamped with a time and date.
The tickets that are printed out of the machine will not be validated as they have been for several years.
This will allow metrolink riders to buy tickets in advance and then validate the tickets when they are ready to use them.
