(KMOV.com) -- A Fairview Heights restaurant manager told police a man robbed his store, tied him up and then stole his pickup truck on Sunday morning.

Officers were called to Smokey Bones, located at 6118 N. Illinois, around 8 a.m.

The manager told police he was approached by an armed man as he was securing a side door. Police said the man forced the manager back into the restaurant, then tied him to a food rack and stole an unknown amount of cash.

Authorities said the suspect stole the manager's Ford F-150, but the pickup truck was recovered about two miles from the restaurant.
