At least 7 injured, several trapped after multi-vehicle wreck in south St. Louis County

ST. LOUIS COUNTY (KMOV.com) – MoDOT has responded to the scene of a major accident on Lindbergh Boulevard near Tesson Ferry Road.

According to officials, there were multiple vechicles involved as well as multiple injuries.

Lindbergh has been completely shut down in both directions as emergency workers work to clear the scene.

According to officials, a car was traveling north on Tesson Ferry Road when the driver lost control and swerved into the eastbound lanes of Lindbergh.

Following the crash, several motorists were trapped in their cars. Emegency workers were able to get everyone out, but several drivers are injured.

The number of injuries is still unknown, but according to fire officials there are two victims in critical condition, one in serious condition and at least two more in moderate condition.

The road would be shut down for "some time" as crews worked to clear the scene, according to a MoDOT official.

It is unknown what caused the accident. News 4 will bring you more information as the story develops.
