(KMOV.com) – A student is suing Belleville East High School after she was allegedly sexually assaulted on campus.

In the lawsuit, the student, 15, contends she was studying in an unsupervised classroom when four students entered the room, closed the door, and turned off the lights before attacking her.

The lawsuit alleges the students removed her pants before another student chased the culprits away.

The suit also accuses the principal of not contacting the victim’s mother after the alleged incident occurred. One student was suspended and charged with sexual assault, but the suit claims the other three were not punished.

The lawsuit is currently seeking an unspecified amount of damages.
