ST. LOUIS, Mo. -- By the beginning of the next century average summertime temperatures in St. Louis will be like the current averages in the South Texas, according to a recent climate study.

According to a study published by Climate Central on Tuesday, forecast models show that if the current trend of increasing greenhouse gas emissions continues, the average temperature during a St. Louis summer will be about 96 degrees by 2100. That is the current average summer temperature for Pharr, Texas, which sits on the Mexico border.
