HILLSDALE, Mo. (KMOV) – Fire officials say a large Hillsdale home was severely damaged in an early morning fire on Tuesday.
Crews responded to the scene of a first-alarm house fire in the 2100 block of Rosebud shortly after 4 a.m.
When firefighters arrived on the scene, they reported that the home was fully engulfed in flames. It took the efforts of five fire departments to contain and put out the flames.
The home is said to have suffered severe damage, mostly to the second floor. Due to the response and efforts of surrounding fire departments, nearby homes were not damaged, officials said.
Neighbors tell News 4 the homeowner was not home when the fire started.
No firefighters were injured battling the fire.
Fire officials have not yet determined what caused the fire.
