HAZELWOOD, Mo. (KMOV.com) -- A Hazelwood man is in custody after he allegedly shot at his former girlfriend, then got in a standoff with police on Sunday.
Rashidi Greer, 21, was arrested and charged with domestic assault, armed criminal action, unlawful use of a weapon and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Police say an officer was investigating an unrelated call near the 8400 block of Latty Avenue when he heard a single gunshot around 12:15 p.m.
The officer was then reportedly contacted by a female victim who said Greer, her former boyfriend, had fired an assault rifle at her during a domestic disturbance.
Police said Greer was then seen running into his residence and officers set up a perimeter around the house. Police eventually made cell phone contact with Greer, then took him into custody without incident.
Officers reportedly found a second woman inside the home, as well as two firearms. One of the weapons was believed to have been used in the original disturbance.
Berekely police and Missouri Highway patrol officers assisted Hazelwood in the incident.
Greer remains in custody on a $20,000 cash-only bond.
