(KMOV) – Gree Electric Appliances of China has recalled more than two million dehumidifiers for reports of overheating and catching fire.
The dehumidifiers were initially recalled in September of 2013, but the Consumer Product Safety Commission says the reported incidents increased by 400% because consumers didn’t heed the warnings.
The recall includes different sizes and brand names including G.E, Kenmore, and Frigidaire models.
The CPSC is urging people who own the recalled dehumidifiers to turn them off and unplug them immediately.
