EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. (KMOV.com) -- Dozens of firefighters worked to control a fast-moving brush fire at a tree nursery in Edwardsville Saturday afternoon.
Officials said the fire started in the back of Sugarloaf Landscape Nursery off Wanda Road around 4 p.m. and spread quickly due to hot, dry conditions. At one point, flames reportedly reached 30 feet high.
Firefighters from Edwardsville, Hartford, Long Lake and Mitchell responded to the scene.
Officials said they are still investigating the cause of the brush fire.
