(KMOV.com) – Friends, family, and police gathered for a candle light vigil on Monday night to remember those killed by acts of violence in 2012.
Police read the names of homicide victims who were killed in both St. Louis City and St. Louis County. One speaker said it was important to remember the victims and also press for changes that can reduce the violence.
"We came here to empathize with the families to offer sympathy during these times,” said Reverend Charles Brown of Mount Airy Baptist Church. “This is good what we're doing. This doesn't stop it. We need to do what we can to change the situation.”
