(KMOV.com) – Two accidents caused all lanes of eastbound Interstate 70 and one lane of westbound I-70 near downtown St. Louis to close early Tuesday.
In one accident, a passenger car collided with a semi-truck on eastbound I-70 and Pine at 4:45 a.m. A News 4 photographer on the scene said the passenger car showed moderate damage.
Motorists were advised to use Memorial Dr. to bypass the incident.
One person was transported to an area hospital following the second crash, though no details were immediately available.
Both sides of I-70 were back open by about 6 a.m.
