(KMOV.com) — Despite december being the worst month to fly, a government report says americans are complaining less despite many flights are delayed.
Consumer complaints against airlines dropped 14 percent in 2013. The improvement comes even though one out of every five flights were late to their destination.
American Eagle was the worst performer of the year, with only 72 percent of its flights arriving at the scheduled time.
Express Jet and Frontier had similar results. The most reliable company was Hawaiian Airlines with a 93 percent on-time rate.
Alaska and Delta came in second and third.
Airlines also had a tougher time keeping track of luggage, with the number of mishandled bags rising slightly.
