(KMOV.com) — The Collinsville School District is asking the state of Illinois to approve two act of god days so it doesn’t have to extend the school year.

The district has had nine snow days.

Only seven were built into the calendar.

That is two more emergency days than the state requires. Right now the last day of school is May 28.
