(KMOV) -- St. Louis County Police arrested one man Tuesday in Mehlville after someone reported seeing a man dumping something behind a business.
According to police, authorities were called to the Advance Auto Parts store in the 5100 block of Lemay Ferry Rd. after someone was seen dumping materials into their dumpster.
Police arrived and found the materials to be commonly used in meth labs. Police drove to thensuspect’s house in the 5200 block of Camelot Estates Dr. in Mehlville.
When officers got there, they saw the suspect walking out of the home. He was arrested at the scene.
A child in the house was taken into protective custody and transported to a local hospital for medical tests to see if she or he had suffered any exposure to the chemicals from the reported meth lab.
Authorities are not releasing any more information.
