ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV) – Police say they are searching for a woman who was seen running from a burning south St. Louis home early Monday morning.
Officials said fire crews were called to the scene in the 3500 block of Magnolia Avenue around 1 a.m. to extinguish the flames. Bomb and arson detectives responded to the scene to investigate the cause. Detectives said the cause of the fire in this case is suspicious.
According to reports, several people were inside the home at the time of the fire. Everyone made it out safely.
Witnesses say a woman was seen running from the area shortly after the fire started. The woman is reportedly known to the occupants of the home.
Authorities are not releasing further details at this time.
