4 Civil War-era guns stolen from Jefferson Barracks Park

ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. (KMOV) – Police say four Civil War-era revolvers were stolen from an exhibit in Jefferson Barracks Park.

 

Police said the stolen guns were a Colt Army model 1860, serial number 19272, a Colt Navy model 1851, serial number 197044, a Remington, serial number 48038 and a LaMotte pistol.

According to police, the guns were taken from the Civil War in the West exhibit in the Old Ordinance Room at Jefferson Barracks Park sometime in the last three weeks.

Police said the building is secured at night with steel plates over the door and has an alarm. Authorities said there had been no signs of forced entry or an activated alarm within the past three weeks.
