EAST ST. LOUIS, Ill. (KMOV.com) -- Police have arrested two men wanted in connection to a robbery during a service at a church in East St. Louis Sunday evening.

Howard Dotson, Jr., 17, and Rufus Thomas, 20, were taken into custody Monday evening.

Authorities said they are looking for a third suspect, possibly a female, in the robbery. The Major Case Squad was helping in the investigation.

East St. Louis Police Chief Michael Floore said three suspects stormed into the IRA Grove Freewill Baptist Church in the 1700 block Belmont just after 5 p.m. Sunday.

Police said the suspects robbed members of the congregation, then fled with money and other items. Investigators are still working to determine exactly what was taken from the churchgoers.

The Associated Press contributed to this report.
