(KMOV.com) -- On the heels of President Barack Obama’s executive order, St. Louis Mayor Francis Slay announced similar raises for city workers.

Employees making less than minimum wages will now earn $10.10 an hour.

The edict will impact 19 people.

A city spokesman says the amount of raises will be very small and come directly from the city salary fund.
