(KMOV) – Only one southbound lane of a busy section of Hanley Rd. will be open through late Wednesday evening as crews work to fix pavement previously damaged by a water main break.
Officials say the closure will affect southbound Hanley Rd. between Interstate 64/40 and Clayton Rd.
"Southbound Hanley motorists will experience substantial delays (Tuesday) afternoon and (Wednesday) morning, because only a single 'thru' lane will be available to them for a 150-yard stretch of this very heavily traveled road," said David Wrone, public information manager with the St. Louis County Public Works Department.
The closure was needed after Missouri American Water performed pavement restoration work Tuesday morning.
