(KMOV.com) – Reynolds County Sheriff’s deputies have arrested a woman in an alleged murder-for-hire plot.

According to authorities, the Sheriff’s Department received a tip that Cassandra Rayfield had contacted someone about hiring a hitman to kill her ex-boyfriend.

On January 4, an undercover deputy met with Rayfield in connection to her reportedly wanting to hire a killer.

In the discussion, deputies say Rayfield gave the deputy photographs of her ex-boyfriend, directions to his residence and money for the killing. She also reportedly said she arranged to kill the would-be victim because of an ongoing custody dispute.

After the meeting ended, Rayfield was arrested and charged with attempted murder. Her bond was set at $500,000 cash only.
