(KMOV) -- A 53-year-old woman was charged Monday after police say she stabbed her brother during an argument in north St. Louis Saturday night.

Angela Hallmon, 53, was charged Monday with first-degree domestic assault, armed criminal action, and two counts of tampering with physical evidence by the Circuit Attorney’s Office.

On Saturday, December 21, officers with the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department responded to the 5300 block of Northland in reference to a stabbing.

Authorities say Hallmon reportedly stabbed her 54-year-old brother in the chest during an argument.

The victim was transported to an area hospital where he was listed in critical, unstable condition.

Hallmon was taken into custody at the scene following the incident.

Hallmon reportedly tried to clean up blood at the scene before being arrested, authorities said.

A judge set bond at $50,000 cash-only.
