(KMOV) – A woman is in custody after she and others robbed another woman at gunpoint in the Central West End on Tuesday.
Bria Cotton was charged with first-degree armed robbery.
Authorities said Cotton and an unknown number of other suspects walked up to a woman in the 200 block of N. Euclid around 6:40 a.m. and took her hand bag containing an iPhone and other personal belongings.
Cotton and the other suspects then fled the scene.
Police said the victim and two witnesses were able to spot Cotton’s license plate number and give it to authorities.
Authorities located Cotton’s vehicle Tuesday afternoon and took her into custody.
Police believe the suspects are responsible for two other armed robberies in the St. Louis area that day.
