(KMOV) -- A former St. Ann Councilwoman has been charged for using children to sabotage a candidate.

Rae Krawzik, who went by Rae Peterson when she was a councilwoman, allegedly paid eight 14 and 15-year-old kids to remove signs supporting Eileen McGeoghegan's campaign. Police say Krawzik paid the kids $1 per sign and then buried the signs in her backyard.

McGeoghegan is the democratic candidate for state representative in the 77th district of Missouri.

Krawzik was arrested and charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor, negligent burning and endangering the welfare of a child.

She is currently free on a $1200 bond.
