WARREN COUNTY, Mo. (KMOV) – A teen is facing charges after police said he was “hill jumping” when he got into an accident that killed one person in Warren County.
Eighteen year-old Cameron Kopecky is charged with involuntary manslaughter.
An arrest report states that on July 23 a car was traveling on Township Line Road, west of Highway 47, in Warren County when it swerved to a avoid a deer, coming to a rest in a ditch. Two other vehicles stopped and activated their emergency lights, in an attempt to help the driver.
Police said shortly after, a car traveling 75 miles per hour, driven by Kopecky, came over a hill and was unable to stop. That car struck one of the parked cars, killing the driver of that vehicle as a result.
Passengers in Kopecky’s car said they were “hill jumping,” according to an arrest report.
