VALLEY PARK, Mo. (KMOV) – Police say a 23-year-old Valley Park man shot at his neighbor Saturday after the victims said he did not want the suspect to attend his wedding.

Casey McBride was charged with armed criminal action and first-degree assault.

According to police, McBride was a friend and had been at the victim’s house all day. While there, McBride apparently finished a bottle of R&R Whiskey and then drank beer.

Later that night, the two began arguing after the victim said he did not want McBridge at his wedding.

Police said McBride left the home, but later returned with a handgun.

According to police, McBride pointed the gun at the victim and pulled the trigger and heard a click.

He then fired the gun, missing the victim.

McBride was arrested and taken into custody.

Police said they later found the gun at McBride’s house.
