GODFREY, Ill. (KMOV.com) -- The Madison County Sheriff says they arrested two women who are suspected of trying to return stolen items to a Godfrey Wal-Mart Friday night.

Police say management at the Wal-Mart on Godfrey Road reported two women had entered the store and attempted to return items to the store. The employees say the two women were previously identified as suspects in a theft at another Wal-Mart.

Through an investigation, the items were determined stolen and Chelsea Schollmeier, 22, and Sarah Kessinger, 21, were arrested and charged with retail theft.

Schollmeier and Kessinger were taken to the Madison County Jail and were held on $100 bond each.
