(KMOV)-- A father was charged with murder Wednesday, after police say a toddler was killed by a blunt trauma to the head.
Emergency crews responded to a call for a sick child at a home in the 2500 block of Carousel in north St. Louis County around 8:40 a.m. Tuesday.
When they arrived, they found Jamel Reed, 2, nearly unconscious and suffering from labored breathing.
The boy was taken to a nearby hospital and was pronounced dead.
Ramond Woods, 23, is charged with second degree murder and is being held on a $250,000 cash-only bond.
