Throwing stars, ammunition among items on felon charged in Alton burglaries

(KMOV) -- Two Madison County men are behind bars after police say they broke into two separate homes, armed with ninja throwing stars.

Chance Price, 21, and Zachary Montague, 20, were both charged Monday with two counts of residential burglary by Alton police.

Authorities say the two entered a home located in the 2700 block of North St. in Alton on Saturday and another home in the 1300 block of Spaulding Avenue the following day.

Additionally, Montague was also charged with unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon for allegedly possessing ammunition and throwing stars.

According to authorites, Montague had previously been convicted of a burglary in January 2013.

Bond for Montague was set at $75,000.  Price’s bond was set at $60,000.
