(KMOV) – The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office has a suspect in custody following a break-in at a local high school.

Authorities say that Steve Ueltzen, 30, dropped off his 33-year-old girlfriend, Sabrina Frey, near a Greyhound Bus Station in St. Louis. Frey was shaken and told family members that Ueltzen was traveling south.

Man caught on surveillance cameras ransacking Troy high school

The Missouri State Highway Patrol spotted Ueltzen’s van parked in a wooded area near a Bourbeuse River access off of Highway O in Franklin County Wednesday around 11:30 p.m.

Ueltzen is accused of breaking into Troy Buchanan High School, vandalizing classrooms and stealing a safe Monday night.

Police identify ‘armed and dangerous’ suspect wanted in Troy school burglary

According to reports, tools were found in Ueltzen’s van that may belong to the Troy Buchanan’s shop class which was ransacked during the burglary. They also say a .22 long rifle was within arm’s reach in the van.

Authorities say that Ueltzen was taken into custody without incident.
