(KMOV.com) – A man is facing charges after cameras caught him stealing from a Ballwin home.

Donald Taber is facing five charges including counts for stealing and burglary.

Cameras caught Taber breaking into a home on Sundower Drive and then rummaging through it for a total of 12 minutes. The cameras then show Taber leaving the house with stolen goods. The homeowner, who did not want to identified, told News 4 she installed the cameras only a few weeks before the break-in.

The homeowner said she was not home when the burglary occurred. When she came home, she said she spotted damage and discovered antique jewelry and handguns were missing.

“The saddest part is I felt that I was the keeper of my father’s watch he gave me before he died he said honey I want you to have my watch,” the victim said.

The victim told News 4 Taber was eventually caught after police traced one of the stolen guns back to him.
