ST. PETERS, Mo. (KMOV.com) – A St. Peters woman faces charges after she allegedly made purchases using a credit card she stole from an elderly woman.
Nora Faupel, 30, was charged Friday with stealing of a credit device and fraudulent use of a credit device.
According to police, a 94-year-old woman noticed some unauthorized purchases on her credit card after losing her wallet on July 9.
Authorities said the stolen car was last used at a Walgreens in Florissant. Police released surveillance pictures of the suspect and a tipster who recognized the woman led officers to Faupel.
Police said Faupel also used the cards at several gas stations and liquor stores over the past week.
She remains at the St. Charles County Jail on a $10,000 bond.
