(KMOV) -- A St. Louis man has been sentenced to 366 days in prison after his conviction of a wire fraud scheme of defrauding and embezzling the FKG Oil Company.

Kevin Dowell, 37, was the Manager of the Human Resources Department of FKG Oil Company in Belleville, Illinois. According to reports, Dowell falsified mileage expense reports, used a company credit card for personal expenses, transferred funds from the company’s bank account to his personal account, and fraudulently used the funds to support a relationship with an exotic dancer.

The fraud was reported to the Belleville Police Department from a third party which led to a full investigation. After the Belleville Police completed their investigation, the case was turned over to the FBI.

Dowell now faces 366 days in prison, followed by three years of supervised release.
