(KMOV) – A doctor from St. Louis who worked at a family medical practice in High Ridge faces several charges after police said he sexually abused multiple family members under the age of 16 over a 28-year period.

Craig Pope, 50, was charged Tuesday with two counts of possession of child pornography, two counts of sodomy, four counts of first-degree statutory sodomy, three counts of second-degree statutory sodomy and four counts of incest.

St. Louis County police said officers on Monday found at least one video and picture on Pope’s computer of a girl under 18 years old engaging in lewd acts.

Police say it was revealed during the investigation Pope had engaged in sexual conduct with several underage family members sometime between 1986-2005.

Records show Pope worked as a general practice physician at the Dillon Plaza Family Medicine Group, located at 1 Dillon Plaza Dr. in High Ridge. Sources told News 4 the practice fired him on Tuesday. No charges indicate any of the victims were his patients.

No other victims have stepped forward, though police ask anyone who believes they may have been victimized by Pope to call 314-889-2341.
