(KMOV) – A Bridgeton man convicted in 2005 for assaulting his child again faces charges after he allegedly did it again on Monday.
Jermell Jackson, 29, was charged Tuesday with third-degree assault.
According to court documents, Jackson was at his home in the 12000 block of Monte when he punched his 9-year-old son. Police said the boy’s mother heard him screaming and saw Jackson standing over him.
A small bump was later felt over the victim’s eyebrow.
Jackson was arrested and released from custody Tuesday after posting a $2,500 cash bond.
Court records show Jackson was previously sentenced to five years in prison after he pleaded guilty to assaulting the same boy in 2005.
