St. Louis, Mo. (KMOV) - Homicide detectives are investigating two separate shootings which left two people dead and another injured.
Police were called to the 1900 block of Warren at 11:00 p.m. Wednesday and found Chestin Hawkins, 18, lying in the gangway of the residence unconscious.
Authorities said Hawkins suffered gunshot wounds to the torso, chest and shoulder areas. Hawkins was pronounced dead on the scene.
Police are searching for two unknown suspects in connection to the killing.
At 1:45 a.m., officers were called to a shooting at a vacant house in the 7300 block of Vermont. According to police, a 19-year-old man was found with gunshot wounds to his check and neck. He was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead. Police said a 21-year-old man was also shot in the chest and neck and is listed in serious but stable condition.
Authorities said a third victim was uninjured in the incident and reported the victims had gone into the vacant home and gotten involved in a narcotics transaction, which turned into a robbery. The third victim said the suspects began firing shots at the three men.
Police described the suspects as five unknown males.
Both investigations are ongoing.
