(KMOV.com) -- After numerous News 4 investigations into a St. Louis County contractor’s questionable work record, Monday he pleaded guilty to deceptive business practices.
After following the trail of Jason Leavy for years, officials say he has a long string of scams and convictions.
First convicted for defrauding home owners in 2006, he served 18 months in prison then came back to St. Louis.
Leavy ran a number of different companies under different names; Tri-Star Roofing and Contracting, Accurate Construction Services and Midwest Roofing to name a few.
Investigators say he followed a pattern of getting money to fix a roof or do another construction job, then disappearing.
He pled guilty to three felony counts and will be sentenced in April.
