(KMOV) – Police in Town and Country charged an employee at a senior living facility on Monday with stealing from a resident’s room.
Dionna Griffin, 27, was charged Monday with felony stealing over $500 according to the Town and Country Police Department.
On Saturday, September 28, authorities say a resident and her daughter reported an iPad missing from the resident's room at the Cedars residential-care Facility in Town and Country.
Griffin, who worked as a certified medical technician, was seen in the room at the time of the reported theft, police said. Furthermore, Griffin was not assigned to work in that part of the facility at the time.
Following an investigation, investigators found evidence that suggested Griffin had pawned the victim’s stolen iPad two days after it went missing.
Griffin was arrested and confessed to stealing and pawning the iPad.
Bond for Griffin was set at $7,500.
