(KMOV) -- A second suspect has been charged in a shooting that killed one man and critically injured another at a vacant home in south St. Louis July 24.
Police say Terence McKinney, 17, of the 6100 block of Minnesota, is charged with second-degree murder, first-degree assault, second-degree assault, two counts of first-degree robbery, attempted first-degree robbery, and six counts of armed criminal action. Samuel Vazquez-Gonzales, 18, was previously charged in this incident.
Officials say the suspects met three men at a vacant home in the 7300 block of Vermont and began firing shots after a drug transaction escalated into a robbery.
Police say Brandon Gonzalez, 19, sustained gunshot wounds to the chest and neck and was later pronounced dead at a hospital. A 21-year-old victim also sustained gunshot wounds to the chest and neck and was taken to a hospital where he was listed in serious but stable condition. The third man was uninjured.
McKinney is being held without bond.
Police are searching for three other men in connection with this incident.
The investigation is ongoing.
