(KMOV.com) -- The search is on for a man who police say robbed a bank in south St. Louis Monday.
St. Louis Police said the robbery happened at the St. Louis Community Credit Union in the 4400 block of Chippewa around noon. The suspect told bank employees that he was armed but did not display a weapon.
According to police, the suspect was able to get away with an undisclosed amount of money and fled east on Chippewa.
Authorities said they are looking for a black male age 35 to 45-years-old; standing at around 5’7” to 5’9” with a slender build and a slight goatee beard.
He was also wearing a black jacket over a red hooded sweatshirt with off-white pants and dark Nike tennis shoes.
The investigation is ongoing.
