(KMOV.com) -- A Roxana man faces multiple counts of sexual assault and child pornography after investigators found thousands of pictures and videos depicting alleged child pornography on his computer.
Brian Cooper, 26, was charged with child sexual assault, aggravated sexual abuse, three counts of Class-X child pornography, and three counts of Class-1 child pornography.
The U.S. Secret Service joined local police and investigators to conduct a search of Cooper's home in the 300 block of Rohm Place on Wednesday, according to a release from Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan.
Investigators discovered nearly 3,000 child porn pictures and videos on Cooper's computer, and found evidence of sexual assault on a child.
The investigation was conducted as part of "Operation Glass House," an initiative targeting those who download "the most heinous child pornography" and pose the greatest risk of sexually assaulting children.
Cooper is being held in the Madison County jail.
