(KMOV) – A Rolla man has been arrested for the second time in connection with a murder that occurred in 1992.

William Earl Harrison has been charged with First Degree Murder and armed criminal action. Harrison is accused of killing Jerry Wayne King, whose body was found near a cave in Phelps County in July, 1992.

Harrison was arrested for the crime shortly after King’s body was found, but police later released him and deemed the case to be “cold.”

According to police, the case was re-opened in 2013.

Harrison was arrested Friday.
