(KMOV) -- A young criminal who even had a victim rooting for his future couldn’t hold it together.

Kenneth Reynolds was charged Tuesday for allegedly pointing a gun at several people and demanding their belongings.

“To see they didn’t take advantage of the opportunity given them, it’s heartbreaking,” said Angela, who was the victim in Reynolds’ first crime.

Angela asked not be fully identified.

In December, police caught four people damaging her car on DeGiverville and Hamilton, attempting to steal it.

“They didn’t get it, because the battery was dead,” she said.

Reynolds pleaded guilty to the crime just a few weeks ago and received probation.

Because he was 17 and it was his first offense, Angela thought he’d take the second chance to get his act straight.

But Tuesday, she found out he was in big trouble - again

“Can you believe it was just five weeks after he pleaded guilty?” asked News 4 Reporter Lauren Trager. “I can’t! It’s really sad.” She said.

Reynolds allegedly admitted to police he held a gun to several people on Sullivan and took their stuff.

The judge who had his case the first time, told News 4 couldn’t comment because of the new charges.

Angela said she doesn’t blame the system, but hopes it comes down much harder the second time.

Reynolds’ new charges carry sentences of up to life in prison.

News 4 will check back to see what sentence Reynolds receives.
