2 car suspects charged after break-ins, police chase in south St. Louis

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) – Two have been charged after they allegedly broke into cars and led police on a foot chase in south St. Louis Thursday.

Otice Bell and Ryedell Willis were charged Friday with burglary.

Police were called to the 6300 block of Landsdowne Avenue in St. Louis Hills around 2:30 a.m. Thursday to check out reports of cars being broken into.

When officers arrived on the scene, they witnessed Bell and Willis running away from the area. They pursued the suspects on foot and caught them in the 6300 block of Devonshire Avenue.

During the chase, one of the officers jumped a fence and suffered a minor finger injury. He was taken to an area hospital for treatment.

Police did not say if any property was recovered.
