(KMOV.com) – Authorities told News 4 a 14-year-old boy was shot in north St. Louis Co. Tuesday night.
Police said the boy was shot in the 1100 block of Redmond Boulevard in Spanish Lake. From News 4’s count, at least six shots were fired. Neighbors said the teen ran door to door to get help after he was shot in the stomach. He finally collapsed in a neighbors driveway.
Neighbors told police that an estimated group of 20 teens met up in Spanish Lake at Lavida Avenue and Redman Boulevard, but they scattered during the shooting. Police have not identivied a suspect or confirmed a motive, but they plan to keep additional officers in the area.
Police said the victim was awake when he was taken to the hospital. Doctors tell police he is expected to survive.
