(KMOV.com) – Police said they have identified a suspect wanted in a hit-and-run that left a 37-year-old injured in Caseyville over the weekend.

Authorities said the suspect is 60-year-old Robert Pearsall. Pearsall has been charged with drunk driving and leaving the scene of an accident.

Police said Pearsall hit Mya Holman who was discovered along the side of St Clair Rd just east of Route 157 early Sunday morning. Police said a passenger on a Metro Link train saw Holman’s body and called 911.

Holman’s family told News 4 she is paralyzed with a severed spine and has numerous broken bones. She remains in the hospital in critical condition.

“If you hit someone why would you keep going? At least call an ambulance, don’t just leave her out there.  They left her for dead,” said Larry Holman, the victim’s brother.

“I just left her room talking to her,” Larry Holman continued. “She says she remembers standing out there and nothing after that.  She doesn’t know what happened; by the way she was talking.”
