(KMOV) – Police in St. Louis are seeking the public’s help in identifying a suspect who robbed a US Bank in the Central West End early Monday morning.

Authorities say a man walked into the US Bank located on the 4300 block of Lindell Blvd. around 9:40 a.m. and handed a teller a note announcing a robbery.  The suspect did not imply that he possessed a weapon.

The teller then gave him an undisclosed amount of cash before the suspect fled on foot in an unknown direction, police said.

The suspect was described as a black male in his late 40s with a medium build, and between 5’09” and 5’11” tall.  He was last seen wearing a gray and blue stocking cap with “St. Louis” across the front and a light tan winter coat.

The investigation is ongoing.

Anyone with information regarding this incident or suspect is urged to call CrimeStoppers at (866) 371-TIPS.  All calls are anonymous.
