(KMOV) – Authorities are searching for suspects after a North County family came home to discover their Christmas gifts had been stolen right from under the tree.

Authorities say that homeowner Shawn Holland and his children returned home from a movie Tuesday night to discover their home had been burglarized.

“I came in the house started looking around that’s when I noticed everything was gone,” said Holland.

Both flat screen televisions and Playstation consoles Holland had planned to give his children for Christmas were both missing.

According to authorities, the thieves had even found $400 Holland had set back to buy a car.

“I’m disabled and just doing the best I can to support myself and my kids and for something like this to happen for Christmas I don’t know what to do,” said Holland.

Authorities say they are uncertain how many suspects may have been involved.

The investigation is ongoing.
