OKAWVILLE, Ill. (KMOV.com) – Police have released a sketch of the person they believe is responsible for robbing an Okawville bank in August this year.

Police said a man walked into the Old Exchange Bank on August 29th and demanded money. The suspect later fled the scene on foot, but police have not yet been able to apprehend him.

On Thursday, investigators released a sketch based on witness descriptions. Witnesses described the man as a white male in his 50s or 60s, wearing a maroon and white striped shirt, jeans, a shaggy gray wig, a red St. Louis Cardinals baseball cap and a pair of sunglasses over prescription eyeglasses.

Police did not say if the suspect had a weapon.

Anyone with information regarding the identity of the suspect is encouraged to contact Illinois State Police at (618)542-2171.
